Ways to Get Your Kids Moving

AS ANY PARENT overseeing home-school knows, Zoom P.E. is hardly a hard-driving Peloton class. It’s more like your kid lying on the floor of the living room doing halfhearte­d leg-lifts by the light of her laptop.

Many students are not moving their bodies as much as they are supposed to be. With organized team sports on hiatus and athletic fields and playground­s closed or restricted to small groups because of the pandemic, what’s a child to do?

Some parents are taking charge, finding creative ways to entice their tweens and teens off their screens and outside. To get your younger ones moving, here are a few ideas from families around the country.
