Katkowski Albert G. Hofammann, III FOCHT, Joan William R. Katkowski, 75, of Wescosvill­e passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbur y Township. He was the husband of Hedy M. Serensits. Bill was born in Allentown a son of the late William H. and Margaret (Freed) Katkowski and a stepson of the late Doris (Lentz) Katkowski. He was employed at Mack Trucks for 33 years before retiring in 2002. Bill was a veteran Albert G. Hofammann, III, 100, died at the Lutheran home in Topton on Friday, November 20, 2020. He was the husband of the late Anna W. (Weber) Hofammann. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Albert G. and Helen M. (Peters) Hofammann. A 1937 graduate of Allentown High School, he received a B.A. from Muhlenberg College and a M.A. and Ph.D. in English and Comparativ­e Literature from the University of Pennsylvan­ia. He was employed by the Call Chronicle Newspapers, and his occupation included piano recitalist, church music director, organist, teacher, lecturer, and critic. As an agent of the U.S. Counter-Intelligen­ce Corps, he served during WWII in the United States and in the European Theatre, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and the French Croix de Guerre. HOFAMMANN, III, Albert JAMES, JR., William KATKOWSKI, William KLIPPLE, Ann KUDLAK SR, Robert LOPREST, Jane Joan H. (Cooper) Focht Joan H. Focht, 79, of Stockertow­n, Passed away on November 20, 2020 in Westminste­r Village. She was the beloved wife of Francis C. Focht with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Nellie (Cruver) Cooper. She graduated Easton H.S. in 1959 and attended Churchman Business School. Later she worked for Northampto­n County Juvenile Probation and later in the County Court House for many years before retiring. She was a member of the former Olivet Presbyteri­an Church, Easton and active member of Wesley U. M. Church, Bethlehem , where she sang in the choir. Earlier she had also been a den mother for the Cub Scouts and later helped with the Boy Scouts. I n addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Alan D. Focht of Stockertow­n and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Leroy Cooper and sisters, Shirley Cooper and Lois Supers. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10-10:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:30 A.M. all from the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem. Friedman Jane Ann Loprest A lot has changed in the 4 years since you have gone to rest. Jane Ann (Stables) Loprest, 82, of Macungie, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank J. Loprest, Ph.D. They were married for 59 years. Jane received her BS from the State University of New York at Binghamton and her master's from Trenton State University. She was a professor of accounting at Bucks County Community College for over 30 years. An early advocate for equal pay for women, she brought a successful challenge to genderbase­d pay discrimina­tion on behalf of the female faculty. In retirement, her lifelong passion for art inspired her to serve as a docent at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA. A loving mother and grandmothe­r, Jane took great joy in organizing family vacations and events, bringing together her children and grandchild­ren for lots of talking, laughing, and eating. An avid reader, Jane also belonged to several local book clubs. She is survived by her children and their spouses the Honorable F. James Loprest, Jr. (Theresa Moser, Esq.) of Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Lorraine J. Spikol (Dr. Louis E. Spikol) of Allentown, PA, Pamela J. Loprest, Ph.D. (Hugh G. Courtney, Ph.D.) of Concord, MA, Amy M. Loprest, Esq. of Brooklyn, NY, Elizabeth A. Henry (Wilbur E. Henry) of Millburn, NJ; brother Gordon W. Stables, Jr. (Carolyn) of San Diego, CA; and nine grandchild­ren, Aaron, Benjamin, Joseph, Anna, Eleanor, Edwina, Michael, Zoe, and Josephine. James Jr., 82, of Easton, formerly of Allentown, passed away November 19, 2020 at New Eastwood Healthcare & Rehabilita­tion Center, Easton. Born in Wilkes Barre, he was the son of the late William H., Sr. and Mildred (Evans) James. William was a supervisor for Lehigh County Assistance Office, in the Energy Assistance Program from 1967-2002. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Young Men's Club of Allentown and started, played and coached in the Lehigh Valley Co-Ed Softball League until 2015. Survivors: Children, William H. Ann was the daughter of Sylvia (Bond) Seibert of Allentown and Michael A. Klipple and his wife Linda of Bath. Ann worked at Cedarbrook, Allentown for 9 years and also worked at Vion's at the Allentown Fairground­s. Ann played in the Special Olympics, Lehigh Valley, for many years and was also a member of Best Buddies Club. Ann served on the board at the ARC, Lehigh County. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Allentown. Survivors: Mother; Father and Step Mother; Brother, Michael Klipple of Allentown; 3 Step Sisters and a Step Brother; Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Robert D Kudlak Sr Robert D Kudlak Sr., 79, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2020. He was predecease­d by his wife Patricia in 2016. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Andrew and Veronica (Hradeal) Kudlak. Bob was a Firefighte­r for the City of Allentown, retiring in 1996 after 28 years of ser vice. of sorrow Survivors include sons Robert Jr (Daneen) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Barry of Huntington Beach, CA.
