Coroner: Route 378 crash victim was Montco man

The Lehigh County coroner’s office identified the driver killed Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Route 378 in Bethlehem as a Montgomery County man.

Eric Henthorn, 49, of Whitemarsh Township was pronounced dead at 3 p.m., according to a news release. The cause of death was blunt force head trauma and the manner of death was accidental, the coroner ruled.

The accident occurred about 2 p.m. and closed Route 378 between the Eighth Avenue and Main Street exits until about 7 p.m.

Police have released no details about the crash.
