Local briefs Basic sewing classes offered in Lorain

Basic sewing classes will be offered at the Lorain Arts Council, 737 Broadway in Lorain, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Saturdays from Oct. 1 through Nov. 26.

Sessions will cover everything from basic hemming to “make-it and takeit” to a “sip and sew” with a fashion designer. Cost is $15 per session.
