Local briefs Child safety theme of April fair

The seventh annual Child Safe Community Day Fair runs from 1-4 p.m., April 2, at Troy Intermediate School, 237 Belmar Blvd. in Avon Lake.

The event offers free admission, child identification kits, face painting, prizes, an Easter egg hunt and the Easter Bunny.
