On the course: Francesconi broke her own school record by 15sec­onds at the Med­ina Fes­ti­val, clock­ing in at 18:59for a third-place fin­ish. That is also the fastest time in The Morn­ing Jour­nal cov­er­age area this sea­son.

On the court: In a pair of three-set vic­to­ries over North Ridgeville and Amherst, Jer­donek tal­lied a com­bined 78 as­sists, adding six digs and two aces.

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, JU­NIOR >> FOOTBALL, WIDE RE­CEIVER/SAFETY On the field: The Rangers picked up their first win of the sea­son against North Olm­sted, and Kerr was a big rea­son why. He had the game-win­ning in­ter­cep­tion in over­time, cap­ping a game that al­ready saw Kerr make 20 tack­les and catch four passes for 119yards and a touch­down.

OLM­STED FALLS, SE­NIOR >> SOC­CER, FORWARD

On the field: Lemin had a goal and as­sist in a 3-0 win over Avon Lake to cap­ture the SWC ti­tle, and then had five goals in a 10-0 win over Parma. He has 23 goals and five as­sists on the sea­son.

OLM­STED FALLS, SE­NIOR >> FOOTBALL, FULL­BACK

On the field: In a marathon vic­tory over Berea-Mid­park, Lom­bardo brought his best, rush­ing 15 times for 182 yards and three touch­down in the Bull­dogs’ 62-49 vic­tory.

On the court: In a pair of three-set vic­to­ries over North Ridgeville and Amherst, Stone tal­lied a com­bined 36 kills and chipped in with 10 digs against North Ridgeville.

On the field: In a 26-21 vic­tory over Columbia that helped the Clip­pers take con­trol of the con­fer­ence race, Terry was 12-for-22 for 270 yards and three touch­downs.
