Police: Man robs McDonald’s

Police arrested a man they say robbed a McDonald’s and then ran from Elyria police.

Manuel Jimenez, 25, of Lorain, displayed a handgun at an employee and robbed an undisclosed amount from the McDonald’s at the corner of Midway Boulevard and West River Road at about 11 a.m., Nov. 13, according to Elyria police Lt. William Pelko.

Pelko said Jimenez fled the scene and was chased by officers who were in the area.

Jimenez was caught by police at 347 Midway Blvd., Pelko said.

Both the money and the gun, a .45 caliber semi-automatic, were recovered, Pelko said.

Jimenez was transported to Lorain County Jail and held without bond.
