Police arrested four individuals they say were involved in a breaking and entering on East Avenue in Elyria.

According to an Elyria police report, Isabella Gorbey, 18, Michael Mudrick, 19, Johnathan Burkhalter, 31, and John Riffe, 18, all of Elyria, were charged with breaking and entering at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 14 at the East Avenue building.

Officers found Gorbey, Mudrick and Burkhalter actively breaking and entering the building behind a bar and immediately told them to face the wall, according to the report.

Riffe, who allegedly was serving as the lookout, was located in the alley behind the bar attempting to assist, the report said.

A nearby resident saw Riffe acting as a lookout and Gorbey, Mudrick and Burkhalter attempting to flee the scene when the cops arrived, according to the report.

Officers found a broken door in the alley behind the bar, the report said.

All four were transported to Lorain County Jail and will remain there pending a $2,500 or their initial court date, according to jail records.
