Elyria woman facing drug charges
A 44-year-old Elyria woman is facing drug charges after police found controlled substances in her purse during a traffic stop, according to an Elyria police report.
Tracey L. Johnson is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a fifth-degree felony, and driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor, after vyvanse, pills containing lisdexamfetamine, were found in her purse at 6:31 p.m., Feb. 13, on 2nd Street, the report said.
Johnson initially told police the pills were Motrin 800 given to her by a friend, but the triangular-shaped pills later were identified as vyvanse, according to the report.
Police transported Johnson to the Lorain County Jail.
Johnson must appear before Elyria Municipal Court Judge Robert C. White at 2 p.m., Feb. 15.
