Crash sends Lorain woman to hospital
A two car-crash at the corner of West Erie and Hamilton avenues May 17 sent one woman to a hospital.
Lorain police Traffic Officer Kyle Gelenius said the driver of a Subaru Outback, a 57-year-old Lorain woman, was driving north on Hamilton around 1:30 p.m. and ran a stop sign, striking a Mazda sedan heading east on West Erie. She was transported to Mercy Health Regional Medical Center suffering from minor injuries, Gelenius said.
The driver of the Mazda, a 50-year-old North Ridgeville woman, was not injured in the crash.
The Lorain Fire Department and Ernie’s Towing assisted.
The crash remains under investigation.
