• Clip­pers: Vis­it­ing Gwin­nett held Triple-A Colum­bus (18-20) to two hits in a 6-0 de­ci­sion. Clip­pers bat­ters struck out 17 times. Colum­bus starter Stephen Fife gave up five runs on eight hits in 6 2⁄3 in­nings to take the loss. He struck out seven. • Rub­ber Ducks: Bren­dan Rodgers and Mylz Jones hit home runs in the sixth to lift Hart­ford to a 7-5 win over Dou­ble-A Akron (22-18). Con­nor Mara­bell hit his fifth home run for the Rub­ber Ducks. Shao-Ching Chi­ang al­lowed seven runs and seven hits in seven in­nings to take the loss for Akron. He yielded three home runs. • Hill­cats: In the first game of a dou­ble­header, vis­it­ing Fred­er­ick topped ad­vanced Sin­gle-A Lynch­burg, 3-1. First base­man Em­manuel Tapia dou­bled twice for the Hill­cats. The sec­ond game was post­poned. • Cap­tains: Left fielder Os­car Gon­za­lez was 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and two runs scored as Sin­gle-A Lake County (1921) beat South Bend, 7-0. Francisco Perez struck out four in six in­nings to im­prove to 2-3.
