Local students named to Bluffton’s list
Bluffton University has announced the dean’s list for the undergraduate students for the spring term.
Students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher are eligible for the dean’s list. Area residents include: • Eric Bender, Vermilion • Jayden Groppi, Parma • Ernest “PJ” Prunty IV, Elyria • Parker Reynolds, Avon • Dean Walters, Avon Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received dean’s list with distinction for continued high achievement.

BW students study abroad
Students from the area were among 27 Baldwin Wallace University students who spent the spring 2018 semester away from BW learning in another country. With support from the BW Study Abroad Center’s Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Japan, Morocco, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The following local students participated:
• Anna Anikienko of Lagrange, a graduate of Keystone High School majoring in international studies, traveled to Ifrane, Morocco, and studied at Al Akhawayn University
• Madlynn Hemeyer of Litchfield, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School majoring in sustainability, traveled to Seoul, South Korea, and studied at Ewha Womans University.
Avon Lake native named to dean’s list
Morgan Diegel, an Ithaca College student from Avon Lake, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester.
