Lorain woman pleads in 2016 shooting death
A Lorain woman admitted her guilt Oct. 12 in the robbery that led to the 2016 death of a Lorain man.
Jasmine A. Schafer, 29, of Lorain, is the third person to plead out in connection to the Aug. 29, 2016, homicide of Jimmie Holland.
A sentencing date has not been set on the two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary and a single count of burglary.
The sentencing likely will come after the case of Elliot L. Kirkland, 29, of Lorain, which is scheduled for January 2019.
Kirkland is facing charges of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of felonious assault and single counts of burglary, obstructing justice and weapons under disability.
If convicted, Kirkland could face the death penalty.
Mark Sanchez, 26, and Latrice Thomas, 38, both of Lorain, pleaded guilty Sept. 28 before Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James L. Miraldi for their parts in the plot.
Sentencing dates have not been set for Sanchez and Thomas.
