Lutheran West’s Webb tied for 13th

Lutheran West sopho­more Sam Webb is tied for 13th af­ter Day 1 of the Ohio High School Ath­letic As­so­ci­a­tion Di­vi­sion II girls golf cham­pi­onship.

Webb, a first-time state qual­i­fier, shot a plus-9 score of 79 at Ohio State’s Gray Course on Oct. 12. She is tied with Nicole Jones of Shelby and Jor­dan Van Me­ter of Min­erva in the 71-player field.

She started on hole No. 10 at 10:50 a.m., play­ing with Van Me­ter and Syd­ney Mal­la­ley of Cincin­nati Arch­bishop McNi­cholas.

Lead­ing af­ter one day is Kan­sas Lakota’s Kyleigh Dull, who shot a plus-3 73. Lima Cen­tral Catholic leads the team race with a plus-51 score of 331.
