Fairport Harbor man accused of drug crime

Mentor police arrested a Fairport Harbor man accused of possessing fentanyl, Mentor Municipal Court records confirm.

Jay S. Marshfield, 24, of 619 Lorain St., was arraigned on a fifth-degree felony count of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug abuse instruments, records there show.

A personal bond was set.

Marshfield is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 11, his arraignment papers state.

If convicted of the felony offense, he faces up to a year behind bars.
