Man faces felony assault charge
A Newbury Township man arrested by Lake County Sheriff’s deputies in connection with a March 30 incident appeared April 27 in Painesville Municipal Court to face a felony charge, court records state
Mark Gamiere, 46, whose address is listed in court documents as 14315 Ravenna Road, was arraigned on a second-degree felonious assault
count and is free on a personal recognizance bond pending a May 9 preliminary hearing.
If convicted, Gamiere could get up to eight years behind bars.
Man accused of failing to register
A Leroy Township resident previously convicted of a sexually oriented offense faces a felony after being accused of not registering a change of address with the proper authorities, Painesville Municipal Court records show.
Robert J. Thornhill, 27, of 7746 Lester Road, is charged with thirddegree felony failure to register and verify residence. He is being held on a $5,000/10 percent cash or surety bond pending a May 2 preliminary hearing, his arraignment paperwork confirms.
If convicted, Thornhill faces up to three years’ confinement.
