DOING GOOD WORKS
Notre Dame Elementary students were busy recently with the Hands that Serve, Hearts that Love program. Seventh-grade students collected over 100 bags of used clothing. After sorting and preparing the clothing, students helped load and deliver the clothing to St. Philomena Church in Cleveland. As part of the grade level outreach project, the seventhgraders are learning the importance and their role in helping those less fortunate. Shown top left are Christopher Wojnar and Benjamin Roberts. While seventh-graders were busy with that program, fifth-graders in Mrs. Niksa’s Science class and Mrs. Halle Davis’ STEM class were learning about animal relationships within food chains and food webs. In this activity, students dissected owl pellets and studied the physiology of the barn owl, its habits, and analyzed the characteristics of its ecosystem. Shown are Michael Malone and Julian Javoris.
