Grant opportunities available
The Geauga County Housing Coalition held its fifth annual fundraiser at Metzenbaum Center recently in Chester Township. More than 140 people attended the event to support local housing programs.
There were 13 Geauga agencies that participated in the cook-off. The firstplace trophy was awarded to Metzenbaum Center. The event raised $4,141.
The Mission of the Housing Coalition is to promote affordable, safe and decent housing opportunities in Geauga County through networking, advocacy and education.
The Coalition is currently accepting grant requests from Geauga County nonprofit organizations who serve individuals who are homeless or are at imminent risk of homelessness.
A request for funding must be submitted in writing and should include the organization’s name and contact information, purpose or mission, who you serve, how much you are requesting, and how the grant will be used to promote the Mission of the Geauga County Housing Coalition.
Grant amounts will range from $100 to $650.
