I flew to Vancouver on Air Canada. I stayed at the Listel Hotel and enjoyed a great meal at its Forage Restaurant. I took the train from there back to Toronto, where I boarded a flight for home. The train is often not on time, so passengers are advised to spend the night in Toronto and fly home the next day. My train was several hours late, so I was glad I booked a room at the Royal York, a Fairmont hotel just opposite Toronto’s Union Station. From there, the swift and easy UP Express whisked me to Pearson Airport the next morning for my flight home. It was a wonderful trip, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
