2 arrests made in death of 4-year-old girl
Euclid Police arrested an unidentified man and woman following the death a 4-yearold girl.
Euclid police arrested an unidentified man and an unidentified woman following the death of 4-yearold Aniya M. Day-Garrett, who authorities say died under suspicious circumstances.
According to a news release, Euclid police and fire-rescue personnel responded at 11:25 a.m. March 11 to the Cultural Garden Apartments, 22701 Lake Shore Blvd., after someone reported a medical emergency involving an unresponsive child.
Police report the 4-yearold, who had burn marks and was emaciated and bruised, was taken from the apartment complex to the Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Neither of the adults arrested in connection with Aniya’s death have been formally charged and will not be identified until officially charged, the Euclid Police Department news release reads.
