Study: Across U.S., fore­clo­sures still el­e­vated

The U.S. fore­clo­sure rate hit a 13-year low be­tween July and Septem­ber, with Con­necti­cut still among the six most-ac­tive states at a rate of about one in ev­ery

475 homes. Just over 177,000 U.S. homes were un­der fore­clo­sure ac­tions as tracked by At­tom Data So­lu­tions, down 6 per­cent from the se­cond quar­ter of this year. In Con­necti­cut, nearly 3,150 prop­er­ties were un­der fore­clo­sure, down 9 per­cent but still nearly 30 per­cent above the aver­age fore­clo­sure rate prior to the

2009 re­ces­sion.
