Christmas Tree Shops on block
Bed, Bath & Beyond is seeking a buyer for its Christmas Tree Shops, with the possibility of pairing it with other assets to bring in $250 million. Bed, Bath & Beyond is moving ahead with plans to close its Danbury, Milford, Torrington and Manchester stores by year end, leaving it with a dozen remaining locations including in Stamford, Norwalk, Brookfield, Fairfield, Guilford and Hamden. Christmas Tree Shops has Connecticut stores in Danbury, Orange, Manchester and Waterford of some 80 in all in 20 states. The chain was founded in 1970 in Yarmouthport, Mass.
