Young Rams En­joy Club Rush Op­por­tu­nity

Sev­enth and eighth graders at Oak­dale Ju­nior High School had the chance to learn more about the on cam­pus clubs, ser­vice or­ga­ni­za­tions, sports teams and more dur­ing the ‘Club Rush’ event of­fered dur­ing the lunch pe­riod on Fri­day, Aug. 25. This was a new event for the ju­nior high and drew plenty of par­tic­i­pants to see the wide va­ri­ety of op­por­tu­ni­ties to get in­volved with at the school.

Oak­dale Ju­nior High School Health Club ad­vi­sor Lori Var­gas, left, was all smiles as she manned the Health Club booth dur­ing the ju­nior high’s first ever Club/Sports Rush event held Fri­day, Aug. 25 for the sev­enth and eighth graders. Each booth had some­thing to of­fer but the Health Club booth was pop­u­lar with its chance to win cool prizes by par­tic­i­pat­ing in fun games.

The Oak­dale Ju­nior High shaded area in front of the school was trans­formed into the first ever Club/Sports Rush on Fri­day as sev­enth and eighth graders got the op­por­tu­nity to sign up for or learn more in­for­ma­tion about the 13 dif­fer­ent en­rich­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties avail­able to them dur­ing their time as OJHS Rams.

The Lead­er­ship booth was hop­ping with ju­nior high stu­dents as they put their tick­ets into the raf­fle tum­bler dur­ing Club Rush on Fri­day af­ter­noon. Pic­tured, sev­enth grader Leah Ar­righi helps hand out raf­fle tick­ets to eager stu­dents.
