Ac­cor­dion Club Meet

Good Time Ac­cor­dion Club will host its next mu­sic and so­cial event on Wed­nes­day, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Escalon Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, 1055 Escalon Ave., Escalon. Women’s Con­nec­tion

Oak­dale Women’s Con­nec­tion will host its monthly lun­cheon on Thurs­day, Oct. 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m. The event will be held at Pa­pa­pol­loni Mediter­ranean Bistro, 1214 W. F St., Oak­dale. Buf­fet lunch is $18. For­mer teacher, Robby Kutz will speak on let­ting go of fear. Mar­lese Ro­ton will present the “Art and Cul­ture of Hawaii.” Reser­va­tions and walk-ins are wel­come. Library Events

The Oak­dale Library will have a Tween/Teen/Adult Craft at 3:30 p.m. on Wed­nes­day, Oct. 11. Join in as color­ful duct tape is turned into book­marks, wal­lets, or any­thing you can imag­ine. “Chil­dren’s Craft” day will be Thurs­day, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. Make a “sweet” ghost, us­ing a lol­lipop and cof­fee fil­ter. Chil­dren can also try to guess what’s in the Mys­tery Box. How does it feel? What could it be? Also, the Wee Move And Play pro­gram, fea­tur­ing un­struc­tured imag­i­na­tive play for lit­tle ones, 5 and un­der, will be Mon­day, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. Par­ents can help their chil­dren learn so­cial skills and have fun at the same time.

Field Trip Set

The Oak­dale Gar­den Club an­nounces that on Tues­day, Oct. 17, it will be hold­ing its first Fall Field Trip to Lo­rina’s Edi­ble Gar­dens in Escalon. Those in­ter­ested in join­ing the group are asked to meet at the Oak­dale City Park­ing lot at South Yosemite Av­enue and East G Street, ad­ja­cent to Wood Park by 10:15 a.m. which will al­low for travel time to the Escalon lo­ca­tion, which is sched­uled to be­gin at 11 a.m. At the tour’s con­clu­sion, par­tic­i­pants can meet for lunch on their own at a lo­cal restau­rant.
