On Oc­to­ber 14, 2017 the Stanis­laus County 4-H Awards Re­cep­tion was held at the Stanis­laus County Agri­cul­ture Cen­ter to rec­og­nize 4-H mem­bers through­out the county who have achieved suc­cess above the club level in var­i­ous project ar­eas. At the re­cep­tion, sev­eral Or­ange Blos­som 4-H mem­bers were rec­og­nized. Rhys Lud­low was awarded first medal­ist in in­ter­me­di­ate cook­ing. In the horse project, Cailee Flood was awarded ju­nior first medal­ist. Natalie Thompson was the county win­ner for leadership, and Molly Terpstra was the in­ter­me­di­ate first medal­ist for public speak­ing. In the pri­mary record book award cat­e­gory, Maryn Lud­low and Paige Swier were rec­og­nized.

The Stanis­laus County Fair Medals of Merit were also given out that night to 4-H mem­bers who demon­strated ex­cel­lence at the fair this past sum­mer. Jesse Ruddy was the in­ter­me­di­ate medal re­cip­i­ent for dec­o­rated cakes and cook­ies. Bre­anna Mor­gan was the ad­vanced medal re­cip­i­ent for pho­tog­ra­phy. All awards and plac­ings for each mem­ber’s in­di­vid­ual en­tries were tal­lied to de­ter­mine th­ese over­all award win­ners from the fair.

Lastly, Or­ange Blos­som 4-H Club was rec­og­nized with a gold award for its com­plete plan­ning guide and an­nual goals. The club was also rec­og­nized as the third place win­ner in the county for its win­dow dis­play dur­ing Na­tional 4-H Week, which for Or­ange Blos­som 4-H was in the win­dows at the Oak­dale Feed and Seed in the cen­ter of town.

The Or­ange Blos­som 4-H Club con­grat­u­lates each and ev­ery mem­ber on their com­mit­ment to ex­cel­lence and looks for­ward to an­other great year.
