Fallin has national audience on female incarceration
Gov. Mary Fallin will be in Washington D.C. Tuesday giving the keynote address at the Women Unshackled conference.
The event brings together lawmakers, policy experts, law enforcement and people affected by female incarceration. She will share the main stage with members of Congress, including New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker and Utah Republican Rep. Mia Love.
Fallin has prioritized criminal justice reform in Oklahoma, a state that puts women in prison at two and a half times the national average.
