Dodgers blanked in Kershaw’s start
Terrance Gore tripled and singled, and Jake Kalish allowed just five hits over seven innings as the Omaha Storm Chasers topped the Oklahoma City Dodgers 4-0 on Saturday.
Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, on an injury rehab assignment, went five innings, allowing one run and two hits while striking out eight in the Pacific Coast League game.
Kalish struck out eight and walked two to pick up the win.
In the top of the second, Omaha grabbed the lead on a solo home run by Jorge Soler. The Storm Chasers then added a run in the sixth and two in the eighth. In the sixth, Ramon Torres hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Gore, while Billy Burns and Torres both drove in a run in the eighth.
The Dodgers were held off the scoreboard for the eighth time this season, while the Storm Chasers' staff recorded their eighth shutout of the year.
