OKORONKWO GETS INVOLVED AGAIN

The Oklahoman (Sunday) - - OSU POSTGAME - RYAN ABER, STAFF WRITER

After losing Matt Romar early in the game and starting safety Will Johnson out, the Sooners could hardly afford to have another key defensive player hurt.

In the second half, the stadium got quiet when defensive end/linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo stayed on the ground after a play and had to be tended to by trainers.

It didn’t take long, though, for Okoronkwo to show he was fine. Shortly after his return, he sacked Johnathan Brantley and knocked the ball loose. Tulane recovered the fumble but the play still forced a Green Wave punt with Oklahoma already ahead 35-14.
