WICHITA MOUNTAINS WILDLIFE REFUGE
•LOCATION: The refuge is about 30 minutes northwest of Lawton
•SIZE: Approximately 59,020 acres
•THINGS TO DO: Hiking, camping, fishing, wildlife watching, outdoor photography and picnic areas. Hunting is only allowed through controlled hunts.
Only one road behind Mount Scott is open for mountain biking.
•WILDLIFE: In addition to elk, a herd of about 550 bison and 300 longhorn cattle reside on the refuge.
