A look at some of the best play­ers in Mill­wood bas­ket­ball his­tory un­der leg­endary coach Var­ryl Franklin:


Lorenza An­drews, 6-foot-3 guard: The floor gen­eral for Franklin’s first cham­pi­onship team in 1979 av­er­aged 22.8 points per game be­fore go­ing on to star at Ok­la­homa State and even­tu­ally get­ting drafted by the Kansas City Kings. Terry Evans, 6-0 guard: Helped lead Mill­wood to three state ti­tles in four years, while av­er­ag­ing 16.5 points per game as a se­nior for a 28-1 Fal­con team in 1987-88. Brian Hop­good, 6-10 cen­ter: The most dom­i­nant big man in Mill­wood his­tory, Hop­good was named to The Ok­la­homan’s Su­per 5 team his se­nior sea­son in 1990 af­ter av­er­ag­ing 24.5 points per game and 12 re­bounds. Chris Dixon, 6-2 guard: Av­er­aged 17.7 points per game for Mill­wood in 1985 to help lead Mill­wood back to the state ti­tle af­ter falling short three years prior. Kelly Henderson, 5-11 guard: Led the way in 1991 to a 26-3 record for the Fal­cons by av­er­ag­ing nearly 18 points per game and help­ing de­liver Mill­wood’s 10th bas­ket­ball ti­tle.
