Pow­ered by a 13-run sec­ond in­ning, No. 2-ranked Ok­la­homa run-ruled Kansas 15-4 in five in­nings on Satur­day in Nor­man.

The Jay­hawks (24-17,

0-8) got on the board first as Jessie Roane hit a solo home run to left field in the open­ing frame.

In the bot­tom of the in­ning, OU’s Kylie Lund­berg drew a walk with the bases loaded to bring Syd­ney Romero home.

Ni­cole Pend­ley fol­lowed suit in the sec­ond, walk­ing with run­ners on to score Kelsey Arnold.

Then, Caleigh Clifton, Rae­gan Rogers, Fale Aviu and Jocelyn Alo each hit 2-RBI sin­gles to put the Soon­ers on top 10-1. Pend­ley sin­gled to drive in another run be­fore Lund­berg was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to plate Alexa Schultz. Rogers then drilled her sec­ond 2-RBI sin­gle of the game to give OU (37-2, 11-0) a 14-1 ad­van­tage.

OU’s 13 runs in an in­ning are its most in one in­ning since scor­ing 17 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2014.

Cow­girls’ se­ries fi­nale, N7 Field Day post­poned

Ok­la­homa State’s se­ries fi­nale against No. 16-ranked Bay­lor and the team’s first Nike N7 Field Day were post­poned due to in­clement weather in the Still­wa­ter area on Satur­day.

The teams will play the third matchup on Sun­day at 12 p.m.

OSU’s sched­uled N7 day will also take place on Sun­day at Cow­girl Sta­dium.
