Children hospitalized after NE OKC house fire
Two children were rushed to a hospital Saturday morning after they were pulled from a burning house by Oklahoma City firefighters.
About 1 a.m., fire crews were sent to 1029 NE 28, where heavy fire could be seen coming from the back of the home. After being told two children were in the home, firefighters found them in separate bedrooms and carried them outside for treatment.
Both children were said to be in cardiac arrest after being rescued, fire officials said. The two children, whose names were not released, were taken to Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.
Officials said there were no working smoke alarms in the home.
