Search is on for Ok­la­homa’s Kid Gov­er­nor

Sun­beam Fam­ily Ser­vices and the Ok­la­homa In­sti­tute for Child Ad­vo­cacy will se­lect its third Ok­la­homa Kid Gov­er­nor to be the voice and face of the agen­cies’ “Vote 4 Kids” and “2018: Year of the Child” cam­paigns to ad­dress is­sues af­fect­ing Ok­la­homa’s chil­dren.

Can­di­dates must be ages 7 to 11, live in Ok­la­homa and sub­mit a one-minute cam­paign video out­lin­ing who they are (name, age, school, where they live), why they want to be cho­sen and what skills they bring to the po­si­tion. They should also talk about an is­sue in­volv­ing chil­dren they think is im­por­tant and why. Videos longer than one minute will be dis­qual­i­fied.

Ok­la­homa’s Kid Gov­er­nor will be se­lected in late July and serve un­til July 2019. Sub­mit videos by July 13 to Jane Meeks at jmeeks@sun­beam­fam­il­y­ser­ or post to face­ sun­beamokc.
