The annual McLoud Blackberry Festival, which began in the 1940s as a way to celebrate the end of blackberry harvest season, celebrated more than 70 years during its two-day run in Veterans Park with plenty of activities for adults and children, including a pageant, a car show, carnival and fireworks.
