A na­tive of Tulsa, an Ea­gle Scout, and a Na­tional Merit Scholar, Bless­ing earned his un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree (summa cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa) from Emory Univer­sity and his med­i­cal de­gree (Al­pha Omega

Al­pha Honor Med­i­cal So­ci­ety/Spe­cial Dis­tinc­tion) from the OU Col­lege of Medicine. He com­pleted his in­tern­ship at OU, fol­lowed by a res­i­dency in oph­thal­mol­ogy and a fel­low­ship in oph­thalmic plas­tic and re­con­struc­tive surgery at the es­teemed Bas­com

Palmer Eye In­sti­tute in Mi­ami.

Ashvini K. Reddy, M.D., re­cently joined the Dean McGee Eye In­sti­tute and the Univer­sity of Ok­la­homa as an as­so­ciate pro­fes­sor of oph­thal­mol­ogy. Her clin­i­cal fo­cus is on uveitis (in­flam­ma­tory eye dis­ease). She also pro­vides ser­vices in med­i­cal retina. Reddy earned her un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree (cum laude) from the Univer­sity of Texas at Austin and her med­i­cal de­gree from Bay­lor Col­lege of Medicine in Hous­ton, where she also com­pleted her in­tern­ship and oph­thal­mol­ogy res­i­dency. Her fel­low­ship train­ing in uveitis and med­i­cal retina was com­pleted at the Bas­com Palmer Eye In­sti­tute at the Univer­sity of Mi­ami. She most re­cently served on the fac­ulty at the Wilmer Eye In­sti­tute at Johns Hopkins Univer­sity and was pre­vi­ously on the fac­ulty at the Univer­sity of Vir­ginia in Char­lottesville.

James C. O’Brien, M.D., re­cently joined the neu­rooph­thal­mol­ogy fac­ulty as an as­sis­tant pro­fes­sor at the Dean McGee Eye In­sti­tute and the Univer­sity of Ok­la­homa. O’Brien earned his un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree from the Univer­sity of Texas at Austin and his med­i­cal de­gree from the Univer­sity of Texas Med­i­cal Branch at Galve­ston, where he was in­ducted into the Al­pha Omega Al­pha Honor Med­i­cal So­ci­ety. He com­pleted his in­tern­ship at Hous­ton Methodist Hos­pi­tal, fol­lowed by a res­i­dency in oph­thal­mol­ogy at DMEI/ OU, where he also com­pleted a neu­rooph­thal­mol­ogy fel­low­ship.

Sun Young “Sunny” Lee, M.D., Ph.D., re­cently joined the Dean McGee Eye In­sti­tute and the Univer­sity of Ok­la­homa Depart­ment of Oph­thal­mol­ogy as a clin­i­cian sci­en­tist and as­sis­tant pro­fes­sor. Her clin­i­cal fo­cus is on retina and vit­re­o­reti­nal surgery, and her re­search in­ter­est is in Müller glio­sis in the retina and its ap­pli­ca­tions in pro­lif­er­a­tive vit­re­o­retinopa­thy and de­gen­er­a­tive reti­nal dis­eases. Lee com­pleted an M.D., Ph.D. in­tern­ship, oph­thal­mol­ogy res­i­dency, and vit­re­o­reti­nal surgery fel­low­ship at pres­ti­gious univer­si­ties in South Korea be­fore mov­ing to the United States to pur­sue re­search at the

Wilmer Eye In­sti­tute at Johns Hopkins Univer­sity and the Do­heny Eye In­sti­tute at the Univer­sity of South­ern Cal­i­for­nia. She then com­pleted a res­i­dency in oph­thal­mol­ogy at USC and fin­ished a two-year fel­low­ship in vit­re­o­reti­nal surgery at the Univer­sity of Iowa.

Mary Ab­bott Chil­dren’s

House hires Tif­fany Wells as ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor to take over op­er­a­tions of the cen­tral Ok­la­homa child ad­vo­cacy non­profit.

Ab­bott House, es­tab­lished in 1996, strives to as­sist chil­dren who have ex­pe­ri­enced sex­ual or se­vere phys­i­cal trauma. Wells has worked 23 years in the so­cial ser­vices field, and 15 years in com­mu­nity men­tal health or­ga­ni­za­tion op­er­a­tions. She was pre­vi­ously at Cen­ter for Chil­dren and Fam­i­lies Inc. for nearly 11 years and most re­cently she was As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor of Pro­gram Op­er­a­tions.

Jen­nifer McGrail has been named di­rec­tor of Launch Pad FT, Fran­cis Tut­tle Tech­nol­ogy Cen­ter’s busi­ness in­cu­ba­tor. McGrail pre­vi­ously served as small busi­ness man­age­ment co­or­di­na­tor at Great Plains Tech­nol­ogy Cen­ter in Law­ton. She has a Mas­ter of Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion from Cameron Univer­sity and an un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree from the Univer­sity of Tulsa. She earned cer­ti­fi­ca­tion as a busi­ness in­cu­ba­tion man­ager from the In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness In­no­va­tion As­so­ci­a­tion.
