Do­na­tions needed for Thanks­giv­ing bas­kets

Je­sus House is com­mem­o­rat­ing its 45th year serv­ing Ok­la­homa City’s home­less and those bat­tling ad­dic­tion. Now, the char­ity is seek­ing do­na­tions for its an­nual Thanks­giv­ing food bas­ket dis­tri­bu­tion.

Needed items in­clude frozen tur­keys and hams, boxed stuff­ing mix, chicken broth, turkey and chicken gravy mixes, in­stant mashed po­ta­toes, canned cran­ber­ries and cran­berry sauce, canned yams and veg­eta­bles, dessert mixes and pie fill­ings.

Food bas­kets will be dis­trib­uted at 8 a.m. Nov. 19 and 20. Dis­tri­bu­tion will con­tinue both days un­til the sup­plies are gone. Those want­ing to pick up a food bas­ket need to pro­vide a state-is­sued ID and proof of res­i­dence such as a util­ity bill.
