Donations needed for Thanksgiving baskets
Jesus House is commemorating its 45th year serving Oklahoma City’s homeless and those battling addiction. Now, the charity is seeking donations for its annual Thanksgiving food basket distribution.
Needed items include frozen turkeys and hams, boxed stuffing mix, chicken broth, turkey and chicken gravy mixes, instant mashed potatoes, canned cranberries and cranberry sauce, canned yams and vegetables, dessert mixes and pie fillings.
Food baskets will be distributed at 8 a.m. Nov. 19 and 20. Distribution will continue both days until the supplies are gone. Those wanting to pick up a food basket need to provide a state-issued ID and proof of residence such as a utility bill.
Donations may be dropped off at Jesus House, 1335 W Sheridan. For more information, contact Alfreda Doonkeene at 232-7164 or go to jesushouseokc.org.
