WesTen District, OKC to hold pet festival

WesTen and Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation will hold a community fair and pet festival for the WesTen District, focusing on the neighborhoods along NW 10 and Melrose Lane, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Melrose Park, 7800 Melrose Lane.

The public and nonaggressive pets are welcome, according to a news release.

This event will include a pet adoption, low-cost dog and cat vaccinations, a pet blessing at noon, health and eye screenings, free books and food, vendors, community resource information and activities for all ages.

A litter blitz also will be held along Melrose Lane, from 9 a.m. to noon. For information, call Steve at 635-7874.
