Dis­cus­sion to fo­cus on church se­cu­rity

A rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the Ok­la­homa City Po­lice De­part­ment and lo­cal church se­cu­rity con­sul­tants will be part of a panel Thurs­day dis­cussing se­cu­rity for houses of wor­ship.

Par­tic­i­pants will in­clude Maj. Bill Weaver with the Ok­la­homa City Po­lice De­part­ment; Travis David, for­mer po­lice of­fi­cer, owner of Peace­mak­ers Se­cu­rity and Con­sult­ing and head of se­cu­rity at Quail Springs Bap­tist Church; Roberta Clark, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor of the Jewish Fed­er­a­tion of Greater Ok­la­homa City; and Tara Koet­ter, founder of Sheep­dog Se­cu­rity and In­ves­tiga­tive Ser­vices LLC.

The con­ver­sa­tion is one of The Ok­la­homan’s In­stant Re­ac­tion dis­cus­sions that fo­cus on cur­rent lo­cal and na­tional hot top­ics. Thurs­day’s dis­cus­sion is sched­uled for 6:30 p.m. at Ok­la­homa City Com­mu­nity Col­lege, 7777 S May Ave., in Col­lege Union Room 2.

The dis­cus­sion will be mod­er­ated by Re­li­gion Ed­i­tor Carla Hin­ton. It is open to the pub­lic, but seat­ing is lim­ited.
