Discussion to focus on church security
A representative of the Oklahoma City Police Department and local church security consultants will be part of a panel Thursday discussing security for houses of worship.
Participants will include Maj. Bill Weaver with the Oklahoma City Police Department; Travis David, former police officer, owner of Peacemakers Security and Consulting and head of security at Quail Springs Baptist Church; Roberta Clark, executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City; and Tara Koetter, founder of Sheepdog Security and Investigative Services LLC.
The conversation is one of The Oklahoman’s Instant Reaction discussions that focus on current local and national hot topics. Thursday’s discussion is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Oklahoma City Community College, 7777 S May Ave., in College Union Room 2.
The discussion will be moderated by Religion Editor Carla Hinton. It is open to the public, but seating is limited.
