Highways to narrow this week for construction projects
Several busy highways will narrow throughout the week as part of ongoing construction projects, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Lanes of the I-40 Crosstown, between the Interstate 35/Interstate 235 Dallas Junction and Shields Boulevard, will be affected. Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and westbound I-40 will be will be narrowed to two lanes 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
The I-40 on-ramp from Shields Boulevard will remain open.
I-35 at U.S. 77/Second Street in Edmond to NE 122 will be narrowed nightly through next year. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route. Southbound I-35 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between Memorial Road and U.S. 77/ Second Street from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through Saturday morning.
The left lane of southbound I-35 will be closed between Wilshire Boulevard and NE 63 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Southbound N Lincoln Boulevard will be narrowed to one lane at NE 48 nightly Tuesday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
