Body found in street early Tuesday
Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Tuesday morning lying on a south Oklahoma City street.
About 6 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call in the area of SW 82 and S Miller Avenue, where they found the body of Ryan Wayne Goss, 26, in the roadway. The body had trauma consistent with homicide but police didn't specify the nature of the trauma.
A man who lives nearby said he heard about four gunshots before a passerby spotted the body and called police. The man said he did not think Goss lived in the neighborhood.
The residential neighborhood consists of mostly brick, single-story homes built in the 1960s. The area, which is east of Oklahoma City Community College, has a number of rental houses that are sometimes not well-kept but most sell from about $80,000 to $120,000, the man said. He said bullets fired Tuesday could have hit his house, and one bullet landed in a driveway down the street.
No arrests have been made in the killing. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.
