Doc­tor ar­rested in fa­tal wreck

A doc­tor was ar­rested Fri­day, ac­cused of strik­ing and killing a mo­tor­cy­clist with his car along In­ter­state 35, the Ok­la­homa High­way Pa­trol re­ported.

About 1:45 a.m. Fri­day, Bryan Frank Perry, 47, was driv­ing a ve­hi­cle north on the high­way, near SE 33rd in Ed­mond, when the ve­hi­cle struck the rear of the mo­tor­cy­cle. The driver of the mo­tor­cy­cle died at the scene, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease.

Perry, a car­di­ol­o­gist at Ok­la­homa Heart Hospi­tal, did not stop af­ter the col­li­sion and con­tin­ued north on the high­way be­fore driv­ing off the road and crash­ing into a light pole, troop­ers said.

Perry left the ve­hi­cle on foot and was later lo­cated by Ed­mond po­lice. He was ar­rested af­ter a brief strug­gle and booked into the Ok­la­homa County jail on com­plaints of man­slaugh­ter, DUI and fail­ure to re­port and ren­der aid at the scene of a fa­tal col­li­sion.

The name of the mo­tor­cy­clist has not been re­leased.

Troop­ers are ask­ing any­one with in­for­ma­tion on Perry’s where­abouts be­fore the crash or any­one who wit­nessed the crash to call 425-2323.
