Stu­dents from John Rex Mid­dle School took ad­van­tage of the cold, win­ter-like weather on Fri­day to ice skate at the Devon Ice Rink, which has re­turned for its eighth sea­son.

Con­sid­ered Down­town in De­cem­ber’s premier at­trac­tion, the ice rink at the Myr­iad Botan­i­cal Gar­dens is open seven days a week through Jan. 27.

Vis­i­tors look­ing to hit the ice on the 5,500-square-foot rink can go to www.down­town­in­de­cem­ber.com/ devon-ice-rink for more in­for­ma­tion on hours and ad­mis­sion pric­ing.
