Wall of Distinction induction Saturday
ONEIDA>> The Oneida City School District Foundation will hold its fifth annual Wall of Distinction Induction and Alumni Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Rusty Rail.
This event, sponsored by Allen Eye Associates, is to honor past OHS graduates, retirees, and other individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and society through their careers and dedicated service on behalf of others.
The 2016 inductees are Marion Awad Cierek, OHS 1945 (posthumously honored); Dr. Howard Loughlin, OHS 1962; Jeffrey Eastman, OHS 1970; Ruth Anne Schultz, OHS 1971 (posthumously honored); Thomas Merrell, OHS 1971; Lt. Gen. Michael Dana, OHS 1978; Mary Kate Cavanagh Rolf, OHS 1988; and John Elberson, OHS 1991.
A social hour from 6-7 p.m., with music provided by guitarist John Kelsey, will precede the dinner and awards ceremony. The public is invited to attend. Individual tickets are $30 and may be
obtained fromLori Cimpi at Oneida High School, 315361- 6072, or by emailing her at lcimpi@oneidacsd. org. Various levels of individual and group sponsorships are also available. All sponsors will be listed in the program. Donations are tax deductible. Proceeds will support the foundation’s mission to provide student scholarships and classroom grants.
