Stu­dents take part in Mar­ble Chal­lenge

MUNNSVILLE, N.Y. » The Stockbridge Val­ley Ele­men­tary Li­brary Club kicked off the school year with a Mar­ble Run Chal­lenge that took over the school hall­ways on Sept. 19 and 20.

Club mem­bers worked in teams of 2-4 stu­dents to build a track for a mar­ble to slide down us­ing only pro­vided ma­te­ri­als – pool noo­dles, duct tape and var­i­ous Sty­ro­foam pack­ing pieces.

About 50 stu­dents in grades 4-6 par­tic­i­pated in the chal­lenge and com­peted to cre­ate the long­est run, most cre­ative run and the run with the most loops.
