Shirley Moon Morgan, 92, of Earlville

EARLVILLE » Shirley Marie Moon Morgan, formerly of Earlville, departed this life on Sept. 6, 2017, at the age of 92.

She is survived by one brother, William Bigford; four sisters, Beatrice James, Opal Vanas, Joann Silverman and Mary Greve; one son, Daniel F. Moon and daughterin-law, Carol Ann (Hockridge) Moon; one granddaugh­ter Cheryl Moon Kelly (husband Raymond Kelly); one grand- son, Mark K. Moon (wife Jill Crockett Moon); great-grandchild­ren and several generation­s of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel F. Moon; three young sons, David, Darwin and Randy Moon; one young sister, Margarite Bigford; two brothers, Ralph and Victor Bigford; and her second husband, James I. Morgan.

Shirley was born in Central Michigan, the daughter of Myrtle (Abel) Bigford and Ira Bigford, moving as a child with her family to Central New York State, where she resided until the last few years, when she enjoyed progressiv­ely more time with her son and family near Richmond, Va. She will now return to Earlville to be interred in the family plot where she will be with four generation­s of loved ones.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 in the Earlville Cemetery, Earlville, N.Y.

Contributi­ons in her memory may be made to the Lebanon Federated Church, 1494 Billings Hill Road, Earlville, N.Y. 13332, where Shirley had been a member since the 1950s.
