TOWN OF LINCOLN » The Madison County Solid Waste Department has announced its holiday operating hours. The main landfill on Buyea Road, the four transfer stations and the Arc Recycling Center will close at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23 and will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1. The department offices on Buyea Road will close at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, and will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1.

There will also be a monetary collection for the Christmas Purse which benefits Cluster 13 Ministries, Clothing Connection and Camden Food Pantry. The 3D computer animated film is the third main installment of the “Despicable Me” series, as Grumeets up with his long lost twin brother Dru, who wants to team up for one last heist. Recycle cooking oil
LINCOLN » Madison County residents can recycle used cooking oil at the Buyea Road transfer station free of charge. Grease and oil from deep fryers should be placed in a clean container and dropped off during the site’s operating hours, 7:10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The site will close at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23. Only cooking grease and oil are recycled; no petroleum products are allowed.
