Lenten services at St. John’s
ONEIDA » St. John’s Episcopal Church will hold a Lenten program on Wednesdays from Feb. 21 through March 21 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The series, called “Oneida Unmasked” will help participants seek clarity about issues and chal- lenges many endure in the greater Oneida area, including hunger, shelter, crime, poverty, mental health, addiction, hopelessness, danger, emergency, and fear.
Each session will feature a presentation by a civic leader, and will con- clude with evening prayers. There will be time for questions and discussion.
The following speakers are scheduled: Feb. 21, Sandi Bain from Community Action Partnership; Feb. 28, Lt. John Little from the Oneida Police Department; March 7, Jean Dana-Melton from The Arc; March 14, Marianne Simberg, expert community witness; March 21, Melissa King of the Karing Kitchen.
