Len­ten ser­vices at St. John’s

ONEIDA » St. John’s Epis­co­pal Church will hold a Len­ten pro­gram on Wed­nes­days from Feb. 21 through March 21 be­gin­ning at 6:30 p.m.

The se­ries, called “Oneida Un­masked” will help par­tic­i­pants seek clar­ity about is­sues and chal- lenges many en­dure in the greater Oneida area, in­clud­ing hunger, shel­ter, crime, poverty, men­tal health, ad­dic­tion, hope­less­ness, dan­ger, emer­gency, and fear.

Each ses­sion will fea­ture a pre­sen­ta­tion by a civic leader, and will con- clude with evening prayers. There will be time for ques­tions and dis­cus­sion.

The fol­low­ing speak­ers are sched­uled: Feb. 21, Sandi Bain from Com­mu­nity Ac­tion Part­ner­ship; Feb. 28, Lt. John Lit­tle from the Oneida Po­lice Depart­ment; March 7, Jean Dana-Mel­ton from The Arc; March 14, Mar­i­anne Sim­berg, ex­pert com­mu­nity wit­ness; March 21, Melissa King of the Kar­ing Kitchen.
