SEWER MAIN REPAIR
ONEIDA, N.Y. » The city of Oneida continued repairs Wednesday on a sewer main that broke on Main Street.
Water Superintendent Art Smolinski said the city was monitoring a depression in the road for the last week. A camera was fed through the sewer line to inspect it a few days ago, but it couldn’t go through.
At around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Main Street was closed to traffic and repairs began.
Due to the depth of the sewer line, CCI Companies out of Canastota was called in with specialized equipment to access the main andmake the necessary repairs, Smolinski said.
