Z CLUB SAYS GOODBYE
On March 21 the Z Club hosted a farewell party for Oneida High School’s Japanese exchange students,
presenting the visitors with T-shirts and mugs from the school. The Japanese Exchange Program at
Oneida High School, which began in 1976, is the longest running high school exchange program in the
United States. Students from Shuri High School in Okinawa, Japan visit for two weeks in March to
share their culture and to learn about the American way of life. Students stay with Oneida High School
hosts, experiencing school life and visiting local places of interest, including Niagara Falls, Canada,
Highland Forest and the Oneida Community Mansion House.
