CANASTOTA » Canastota Pub­lic Li­brary will of­fer a TED Talk at noon on Tues­day, April 17 at the li­brary, 102 W. Cen­ter St. Cary Fowler, an Amer­i­can agri­cul­tur­al­ist and the se­nior ad­vi­sor of the Crop Trust, will present “Pro­tect­ing the fu­ture of food, one seed at a time.” Katrina McManus, co­or­di­na­tor of the li­brary’s Seed Ex­change Pro­gram, will lead a dis­cus­sion fol­low­ing the talk. Pa­trons are in­vited to bring a bagged lunch. Re­fresh­ments will be served. The lunch and dis­cus­sion will last about an hour. TED is a non-profit de­voted to spread­ing ideas, usu­ally in the form of short, pow­er­ful talks (18 min­utes or less). For in­for­ma­tion, call (315) 697-7030.
