TED Talk at Canastota Library
CANASTOTA » Canastota Public Library will offer a TED Talk at noon on Tuesday, April 17 at the library, 102 W. Center St. Cary Fowler, an American agriculturalist and the senior advisor of the Crop Trust, will present “Protecting the future of food, one seed at a time.” Katrina McManus, coordinator of the library’s Seed Exchange Program, will lead a discussion following the talk. Patrons are invited to bring a bagged lunch. Refreshments will be served. The lunch and discussion will last about an hour. TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). For information, call (315) 697-7030.
